Creative Direction

Build narratives to enhance a brand identity, a specific project or a collection of products. Experience on storytelling, art direction and strategic brand development through different visual mediums, materialities and objects to translate a certain aim and aesthetic mood or ambiance. Open to collaborate with existing and unannounced brands, projects worldwide, institutions, companies and creative individuals.

For each client’s context the Creative Direction is set up through different tools and skills: art direction for photography, design consultancy, creative strategy, brand launch support, brand consulting and presentation, and the possibility to collaborate with different artists and creators like photographers, architects, makers and graphic designers.

Product Design

Design practice that reflects curiosity in storytelling, materials, color, shape and cultural contexts of use and production. This poetic approach on objects stands on a process of creation using different methods across luxury homeware, furniture, objects, lighting, toys, packaging & design research. Ranging from artisan-made to an industrial production scale, it is possible to design for brands, companies, other designers and creative businesses.

Tailored approach for each project and context using distinct tools and skills: visual and conceptual search, markets and trends, production processes and techniques, ideation development with sketches and drawings, models, samples and maquettes; Use of 3D modeling and renderings, prototyping monitoring, technical drawings and naming and object descriptions.

Product & Design Development

Extensive experience on the process of developing products and furniture, starting from a defined drawing of an object, product range or collection to the final finished product(s). This chain of moments varies in length and can include strategy, prototyping, liaising with producers on product details and costs and production management. Cooperation with the different stakeholders and ensure the quality and timings of manufacture, logistics and shipping. Deep knowledge of the portuguese industry and craftsmanship.

Each project is specifically thought of and strategically adapted to the client needs and its context: can include product sourcing and scouting suppliers in Portugal, prototype monitoring, liaising with producers on product detail and costs, production management and quality control, assistance in logistics, packaging and shipping.

Expertise to source suitable suppliers in Portugal for a specific client context: from unique handcrafted pieces, bespoke furniture, to a full new line of objects ranging from a smaller handmade series to a bigger scale of industrial production, overseeing ethical and sustainable principles. Consultancy for homeware and furniture brands in EU and worldwide, other designers, companies and creative businesses.

Careful selection and suppliers matchmaking with the client needs on a diversified range: terracotta & black ceramics, porcelain & stoneware, plaster mold making & mouth glass blowing. Basket weaving & vegetal fibers like palm leaf, reed, wicker. Black cork & cork agglomerates.Weaving techniques of wall tapestry and cabinetmaking, stonemasonry in marble, limestone & granite.
